5 ml whole blood (Lithium Heparin - PST) and at least one half-full Lavender tube. |

Sample Processing: |
Lavender tube is sent as whole blood, no processing necessary. Centrifuge within one hour of draw time. Label transport tube with two patient identifiers, date and time of collection. |

Refrigerate. |
Transport Instructions: |
Place specimen into zip-lock type bag, seal bag. Place requisition into outside pocket of bag. Transport in cooler with refrigerated coolant packs. |
