Reserve a Room


The first step in planning an event is making the room reservation. The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics have facilities that will accommodate up to 125 guests. To reserve a room call the phone number listed below.

Rooms are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis.  Reservations not requiring food service should be made at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.  Those requiring food service should be made at least three (3) weeks in advance.  Conference rooms are not available for recognition events such as retirements, farewells, or special honors due to their limited space and close proximity to rooms where business meetings might be in session.  Conference rooms are not reserved for more than listed capacity in order to comply with fire code regulations.

When making your reservation, please have the following information ready:

            *The room to be reserved

                *The date

                *The time requested

                *The approximate number of people to be expected

                *If you are planning to make arrangements for food service

                *Any other special arrangements that might be needed

*Your name

*A contact number where you might be reached

The Atrium Dining is not available for reservation during weekday luncheon service hours.  For weekday morning and afternoon reservations, ninety (90) minutes is allocated immediately prior to and after regular luncheon service hours for set up and cleanup.

Table reservations for lunch in the Atrium Dining areas are made through the Department of Food and Nutrition Services receptionist (6-2692).

Only four total tables may be reserved for any one-day.  They can be in combinations of four seats and six seats tables (e.g. 3 tables for four plus one table for six).  Table reservations for the same day the request is made is taken until 10:00am each day provided that there are tables within the limits.  Reservations are only accepted one week in advance.  Standing reservations for tables are not allowed.
