Catered
Rooms
University
of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has meeting areas that can
accommodate up to 125 guests. If you need help deciding
which room best fits your needs, please refer to the chart
below. Room reservations are made on a first-come
first-serve basis. For instructions on how to reserve a
room,
click here. Food and Nutrition Services Conference
rooms are not available for recognition events such as
retirements, farewells, or special honors due to their
limited space and close proximity to business areas within
the hospital. Conference rooms cannot be reserved for more
than the listed capacity in order to comply with fire code
regulations.
In the Food and
Nutrition Services’ event rooms, no food from outside of the
hospital will be allowed. This includes food from home as
well as food from a vendor outside of the hospital.
The catering staff
will not provide any transport containers or other items for
leftover food your group wishes to take with them. You must
use your own items if you wish to take leftover food with
you after an event. Catering Services claims no
responsibility for any food items after the event is
concluded.
Room
reservations not requiring food service should be made at
least 24-hours in advance,
and all floor plan
and furniture moves should be discussed with housekeeping
directly. In some instances, floor plan changes may not be
approved.
All food and
beverage requests should be made immediately after securing
your room reservation and no later than three (3) weeks
prior to your event. Events scheduled in the following
rooms will be Full Service events, unless otherwise
requested on your requisition: Clasen Board Room, Clasen
Conference Rooms, Atrium Conference Rooms, and East Room.
Full Service events include set-up and clean up by the
catering staff, while a Cart Service means you will handle
set-up and clean up. Catering services in all other areas of
the hospital, aside from those listed above, will be handled
as Cart Service.
