Move to Epic Hyperdrive, Saturday, June 17, 2023

On Saturday 6/17/23 at 1AM UIHC will be transitioning to Epic's Hyperdrive Browser.
No downtime is expected but a brief interruption of services is possible
at that time.
Please call the Help Desk at 319-356-0001 if you experience any issues.
The move to Hyperdrive is largely about improving background processes and accessing the system but there are some changes that will affect Pathology staff.
New Citrix Icon Change:
This
is a minor change but will indicate that the migration has taken place.
Cosmetic Changes:
In addition to background functionality, Epic updated the look of the
system. This is most obvious with Epic’s various Search functions.
Previously, searching would open blocky pop-up windows, with Hyperspace
the design is modernized and often contains more functionality.
A compiled document of screenshots comparing the Old and New systems is
attached to this email for those who would like to view the changes
before Saturday.
Requisition Entry:
While most Beaker applications will look and act exactly the same, Epic has modernized Requisition Entry to include cascading menus and a more modern look.
The functionality remains the same and should feel familiar. However for those who would like a guide to the new layout, UIDL has created a tip sheet that is attached to this email.
Reporting Work Bench
Epic's Analytics functions have been updated and bundled together in Hyperdrive. Fortunately for most lab staff, this not an area they tend to work in, but for those that do, Pathology Informatics has reached out to discuss the changes prior to the transition.
