Specimen Instructions:
Allow specimen to clot for one hour at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection.

Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Collection Medium:
Red top tube 5 mL (Clot Activator)
Minimum:
Preferred Minimum: 1.0 mL serum
Absolute Minimum: 0.5 mL serum
Rejection Criteria:
Separator tubes. Specimens left to clot at 2-8°C. Specimens exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Non-frozen specimens. Grossly hemolyzed or severely lipemic specimens.
Delivery Instructions:
Deliver to laboratory immediately after collection. Critical frozen.

1-2 days upon receipt at reference laboratory
Reference Range:
Low	38.6 U/mL or less
Normal	38.7-89.9 U/mL
High	90.0 U/mL or greater
