Testing Schedule:
Batched test performed on Tuesday and Friday.
Reference Range:
Negative
Interpretive Data:
Analytical range in log10 values: 2.7 - 6.48 log10 IU/mL (500-3,000,000 IU/mL non-log transformed values) Positive results less than 500 IU/mL will be reported as <2.7 log10 IU/mL and negative results will be reported as "Not detected" (NOT DET). The assay is calibrated to the WHO international standard.
Comments:
Analytical range in log10 values: 2.70 - 6.48 log IU/mL (500-3,000,000
IU/mL)
Positive results less than 2.70 log10 IU/mL (500 IU/mL) will be reported as "POS <2.70 LOG IU" ("POS <500 LOG IU"). Negative results will be reported as "Not detected".
The performance characteristics of this test were determined by the University of Iowa Microbiology and Molecular Pathology Laboratory. It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has determined that such clearance or approval is not necessary. This test is for clinical purposes. It should not be regarded as investigational or for research. The laboratory is certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) as qualified to perform high complexity clinical laboratory testing.
