Peripheral Blood

Collection Medium:

	and		or
Yellow top tube 8.5 mL (ACD solution A)	and	Pink top tube 6 mL (K2-EDTA)	or	Lavender top tube 3 mL (EDTA)

Minimum:

8.5 mL yellow top (ACD solution A) tube is required.
1 mL Lavender or Pink top EDTA tube is required.

Delivery Instructions:

Keep at room temperature. Do not refrigerate. Send to tube station #260 or deliver to Specimen Control, 6240 RCP.

Testing Schedule:

0800-1630 Monday through Friday. For additional services, contact Clinical Pathology Resident on-call at pager #3404.

Turn Around Time:

24 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)

Reference Range:

The laboratory will provide a quantitative report.

Comments:

Specimens are accepted Monday 0800 through Friday 1500. The clinical pathology resident should be contacted at pager #3404 for other arrangements.
