> 19 yrs 40 - 230 mg/dL
Test Limitations:
Criterion: Recovery within plus or minus 10% of initial values.

Icterus: No significant interference up to an I index of 60
(approximate conjugated and unconjugated bilirubin concentration: 60
mg/dL).

Hemolysis: No significant interference up to an H index of 1000.
(approximate hemoglobin concentration: 1000 mg/dL)

Lipemia (Intralipid): No significant interference up to an L index of
2000. There is poor correlation between turbidity and triglycerides
concentration.

There is no cross-reaction between IgM and IgA or IgG under assay
conditions.

Sera with ill-defined characteristics should be subject to protein
electrophoresis to identify a possible antigen excess (e.g.
gammopathy).

A high dose hook effect may occur at IgM concentrations of greater
than 3,000 mg/dL (30 g/L).
Methodology:
Immunoturbidimetric
