Postdoctoral Positions Available:
Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Curt D. Sigmund, Ph.D. in the Center on Functional Genomics of Hypertension at the University of Iowa. These positions are for collaborative research projects on: 1) Functional Genomics of the Brain Renin-Angiotensin System, 2) Regulation of Renin and Angiotensinogen Gene Expression, and 3) Role of PPARγ in Vascular Function and Hypertension. The successful applicants can be expected to use sophisticated tools in functional genomics including transgenesis, gene targeting, and viral gene delivery coupled with state-of-the-art whole animal physiology and pharmacology to address fundamental mechanisms of blood pressure control and fluid homeostasis in health and disease. The position includes competitive salary and benefits.
