Postdoctoral Position Available

A postdoctoral research position is available in the Department of Neurology of the Carver College of Medicine at The University of Iowa, to perform molecular and cellular biology studies in cellular and animal models of DYT1 dystonia.  The selected candidate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Gonzalez-Alegre. The Gonzalez laboratory is currently federally and privately funded.

Individuals applying for this position must hold an MD and/or Ph.D. degree and be familiar with cellular and molecular biology techniques, handling of rodents including survival surgery and behavioral phenotyping.
