Lavender top tube (EDTA)

Minimum:

Preferred minimum: 1.5 ml serum or 1.5 ml EDTA plasma
Pediatric minimum: 0.6 ml serum or 0.6 ml EDTA plasma

Delivery Instructions:

Wrap specimen in aluminum foil to protect from light.  
Deliver to laboratory immediately after collection.

Analytic Time:

1 week

Reference Range:

0.10 - 2.20 ng/mL

Comments:

Fasting sample preferred.  Do not consume alcohol for one day prior to 
blood draw. Avoid hemolysis.  Separate samples must be submitted when 
multiple tests are ordered.
