2 ml serum minimum
1 ml serum (pediatric minimum)


Delivery Instructions:


Wrap specimen in aluminum foil to protect from light.  
Deliver to laboratory immediately after collection.


Analytic Time:


1 week


Reference Range:


0.20-1.90 mg/dl


Comments:


Overnight fasting preferred.  Patient should refrain from taking 
vitamin supplements 24 hours prior to collection.
