Change in HemaPrompt Point of Care (POC) Fecal and Gastric Occult Blood Testing, Friday, February 23, 2024
Effective Friday February 23rd, 2024
The yellow HemaPrompt fecal occult blood cards are being replaced by green HemaPrompt FG cards, capable of testing fecal or gastric samples. These guaiac-based testing cards are primarily used for point of care testing within the hospital. The yellow cards can be used until supply is used up.
The stores number for ordering green cards is PS# 199569.

- POC Gastric Occult, Blood [POC98]

Note that this change does NOT impact the Quidel fecal occult blood immunoassay used for colorectal cancer screening.
