Changes in Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Testing, Monday, May 1, 2023

Starting Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, the Core Laboratory will change methodology for the anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide assay (Anti-CCP, LAB1254) due to supply chain challenges with the current assay (BioRad). Anti-CCP results from different manufacturers cannot be used interchangeably. Results from the new assay (Roche Diagnostics) should be considered positive when the anti-CCP concentration is 17 U/mL or higher. The change in assay requires a change in sample type to serum (red top tube). Anti-CCP samples collected between 4/28 – 5/8 will be frozen and analyzed when the new assay is available on May 9th.
