Acute Myelogenous Leukemia Profile Testing Now Includes Additional Gene Targets, Thursday, December 8th, 2022

Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Profile (LAB9075) testing from the Molecular Pathology laboratory has been updated based on the 2022 European LeukemiaNet (ELN 2022) and the WHO 5th edition for classification of myeloid neoplasms. This next generation sequencing-based assay now includes the previous targets as well as targets in the following five genes that are required for diagnosis and risk stratification of AML:
- BCOR – Complete coding sequence
- STAG2 – Complete coding sequence
- DDX41 – Coverage for targeted exons
- ANKRD26 – Coverage for targeted exons
- PPM1D – Coverage for targeted exons
