As of September 30, 2021, the Respiratory Pathogen Panel (LAB8656) and related add-on and cascading tests are unavailable due to an instrument failure.  We will provide an update when this testing is available again.

Respiratory viral activity in our community is currently due to common-cold viruses such as rhinovirus and enterovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and SARS-CoV-2.  Influenza is not currently circulating in the community.

Therefore as a substitute test we recommend ordering the RSV Panel (LAB9070) until further notice.  Results will be issued in a similar timeframe to the Respiratory Pathogen Panel.
