Due to the severe weather, pathology mailout testing will not be shipped out today to reference laboratories due to weather impacts on air flights and ground delivery services. Flights from Cedar Rapids Airport are predicted to be unavailable this evening due to blizzard conditions, affecting FedEx and other shipping companies.

Where possible, samples will be stabilized for later shipment. If testing needs to be cancelled due to limited specimen viability, Pathology Mailouts will contact the ordering clinical service.
