Starting tomorrow, November 3rd, 2020, Lyme Disease serology testing will be temporarily mailed out to ARUP Laboratories due to nationwide unavailability of the reagents for performing Lyme serology in-house. The estimated TAT is 2 – 5 days. Positive and equivocal serologies will continue to be automatically confirmed by immunoblot.

The mailout tests are as follows:

• Lyme Disease Antibody (Acute Disease) - Mailout [LAB9065] – appropriate for individuals with ≤4 weeks of clinical symptoms or tick exposure
• Lyme Disease Antibody (Late Disease) - Mailout [LAB9066] – appropriate for individuals with >4 weeks of clinical symptoms or tick exposure
