There is a new pool size for Cryoprecipitate.  DeGowin Blood Center will no longer stock 2, 6 and 10 unit pools.  Instead, there will be one Cryoprecipitate pool size of 5 units.  The Epic Cryoprecipitate Dispense and Administer order will be revised to reflect this change.  LIPs will have to option to order one or more 5 unit pools or to order a specific volume in mLs.

This change will be effective December 17, 2013.  Questions about appropriate Cryoprecipitate dosing can be referred to the Pathology Resident pager 3404.
