Delays in Laboratory Testing
Due to instrument failure in the Core Laboratory, there will be delays in the following laboratory tests:
Epic | Epic # |
ANTI-CCP | LAB1254 |
C-PEPTIDE | LAB521 |
FREE PSA | LAB117 |
IGE | LAB74 |
INSULIN, TOTAL | LAB7389 |
PROLACTIN | LAB531 |
PARATHYROID HORMONE | LAB108 |
RUBELLA ANTIBODY, IGG | LAB4835 |
TESTOSTERONE, FREE & TOTAL, ADULT | LAB4140 |
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL | LAB124 |
Pending instrument repair, we are working to perform some of the testing on other analyzers. Priority is being given to "PARATHYROID HORMONE (PTH)" and "INSULIN" as these tests have the highest number of pending results.
Vendor support is on site. Tentative estimate is to restore instrument function tomorrow (Friday 8/17) once replacement parts arrives.
Questions should be directed to Matthew Krasowski, MD, PhD, medical director of the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory (384-9380, matthew-krasowski@uiowa.edu).
