Serology Tests Now Available Daily in Core Laboratory
Effective Tuesday, December 11, 2012, the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics core clinical chemistry laboratory will begin running serology tests on the Bio-Rad Bioplex 2200 analyzer. This will enable 24/7, 365 day availability of the following serology tests:
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) IgG and IgM
Measles (Rubeola) IgG
Mumps IgG
Rubella IgG and IgM
Toxoplasmosis IgG
Varicella-zoster IgG
The turnaround time is 3 hrs or less from receipt in laboratory. Details on the tests are as follows:
