The Hematology Laboratory will be offering an in-house assay for Enoxaparin starting Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Previously this test was available only as a send-out test.

ADDENDUM: To clarify ordering of testing for Enoxaparin levels

• The test will be orderable in EPIC as:
    Lab316 - HEPARIN, LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT (ANTI XA)


• This test can also be found by searching:
  1. LOVENOX
  2. ENOXAPARIN
  3. XA INHIBITION
     
     

The specimen type is a blue top (citrate tube). The routine testing schedule is 8-16:30 Monday through Friday, with additional service with pathology approval available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week (including holidays) with a turnaround time of 8 hours upon receipt in laboratory.
