Synovial fluid and tophus specimens will NO longer be analyzed for crystals between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am daily. During this time interval, samples should be sent to Specimen Control, 6240 RCP, where they will be refrigerated. If there is an urgent need for analysis, please call the Rheumatology consult attending to discuss.
