DeGowin Blood Center regularly reviews the utilization and effectiveness of its blood programs. Due to evolving transfusion practices, utilization of the Limited Donor Exposure Program has decreased markedly in recent years, and will be discontinued, effective immediately. In keeping with best practices, UIHC offers the highest quality blood products through local and regional volunteer donor programs. Autologous blood donation remains an option for qualified patients.
