Beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2008 the Mailouts Service Center will begin sending meconium drugs of abuse testing to the ARUP Reference Laboratory. Required collection vials are available in the Special Care Nursery Lab or the Core Laboratory; sample size remains the same at a minimum of 2 grams or 3/4 inch cube. This laboratory switch will provide better turn around time and lower positive thresholds. Charges for this testing will remain the same.
