Effective 1/2/08, all red blood cell and platelet components at UIHC will be leukocyte-reduced. It is no longer necessary to indicate a requirement for leukocyte-reduced when blood is ordered. The A-1a Blood Center Request (printed and IPR) will be revised at the next opportunity.
