In order to maintain state of the art allergen specific IgE assessment, our mailout testing will move to Quest Diagnostics from Esoterix Laboratories. A Pathology Handbook entry has been created for “Allergen, (IgE) ImmunoCAP®” with a hyperlink to the new list of allergens offered at the new reference laboratory. This link is a printable form which should be submitted with a miscellaneous A-1a. The minimum sample requirement is 0.3 mL whole blood to yield 0.15 mL serum per allergen ordered. Be alerted that the change in testing site will have NEW reference range and classification system in place. This change will be effective Monday October 1, 2007.
