Effectively immediately, the Molecular Pathology Laboratory will institute a new analytic measurement range for the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) quantitative PCR assay due to manufacturer changes and lab validation results. All samples will continue to be processed in the same way but results that are less than 200 IU/ml or greater than 10 million IU/ml will be reported using those phrases (not as specific values).
