Discard blood tubes for blood draws are available in stores, order number MH09575 (Tubes, Blood, Discard…). These tubes must be used only when drawing a citrate (blue) tube with a tube holder and butterfly needle. The discard tube is only used to remove air from the tubing. Discard tubes have no additives and cannot be used for testing.
