After the run on Monday, January 23, 2006, the core laboratory will no longer perform Cytomegalovirus (CMV) latex screens. This action is prompted by the difficulty in obtaining reagents and the availability of CMV IgG and CMV IgM serologies in the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory. After January 23, requisitions marked for CMV latex will be sent to Microbiology for serological testing. Specimen requirements change from plasma to serum (red top tube). Questions to R.
