The Chemistry Laboratory has received feedback indicating that the calling of critical amylase values is not helpful. We have also polled other institutions and they indicate that they do not have critical values for amylase. Therefore, as of Jan. 16, 2007 the clinical laboratory will no longer call critical amylase values. Should you object to this policy change, please contact R. Feld at (6-1759) before that date.
