The AM and PM phlebotomy teams are currently experiencing a severe staffing shortage. There will be delays in dispatching a phlebotomist to some areas and not all areas will be completed before 0800.  If a patient is scheduled for an early AM procedure or for discharge and must leave the patient care area before the phlebotomist arrives, the blood should be drawn by nursing staff and sent to the laboratory.  We are working to resolve this issue and hope to return to our previous level of service as soon as possible.  Please feel free to call Kathy Eyres at 6-8620 with questions or problems.
