Effective 07/16/02, urine immunofixation electrophoresis testing will be performed in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory on a new instrument. This replaces testing done in the Immunopathology Laboratory. The sensitivity and specificity of the two methods appears to be comparable. The test will be performed on Tuesdays and Fridays.
