Heparinized plasma. Specimens containing particulate material or
obvious microbial contamination. Heat-inactivated, severely hemolyzed,
or lipemic specimens.

Interpretive Data:
This assay should not be used for blood donor screening, associated re-
entry protocols, or for screening Human Cell, Tissues and Cellular and
Tissue-Based Products (HCT/P).
Comments:
Note: Order this assay only when a specimen is repeatedly reactive for
hepatitis B surface antigen.
Test is recommended for detection of acute or chronic HBV infection.
