Methodology:
The analyzer monitors the harmonic motion of a pendant drop of blood in response to external vibration. As the sample transitions from a liquid state to a gel-like state during clotting, the analyzer measures the modulus of elasticity and resonant frequency increase variations during clotting and lysis.
