Interpretive Data:
Reference range is for a random glucose concentration. The Expert Committee on the Diagnosis and Classification of Diabetes has defined impaired fasting glucose as greater than or equal to 100 mg/dL but less than 126 mg/dL (Diabetes Care 28 Suppl 1: S41, 2005).
Comments:
Can be ordered with blood gases (0.5 mL blood required); all needles must be removed from the syringe before delivery.
