Specimen Instructions:
Specimens must be delivered to lab within 24 hours of collection.

Minimum:
Specimens must be collected using the VPIII Collection and Transport Kit (Hospital Stores No. 74472).
Delivery Instructions:
Transport sample at room temperature or refrigerated.
Testing Schedule:
24 hrs/day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
Turn Around Time:
1.5 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)
Comments:
This test is used as a screen for Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida species and Gardnerella vaginalis in vaginal secretions. Test is run daily.
