15 mL blood with platelet count >100,000/mm3 in order to recover a platelet rich plasma with a platelet count >225,000.

To be scheduled and drawn by the Hemostasis/Thrombosis technologist only. Please call 356-3573 to schedule. Scheduled: 8 AM - Noon.

A modified platelet aggregation can be performed for Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients.

Aspirin, NSAIDS, antihistamines, and aspirin-like drugs taken within the last seven days may invalidate results.
