RVAP provides a
24-hour Rape Crisis Line (335-6000 or 1-800-228-1625) and the Iowa Sexual
Abuse Hotline (1-800-284-7821. Sexual assault advocates provide medical,
legal, court, and systems advocacy, counseling, support groups, and other
direct services to victim/survivors of sexual abuse and their partners,
friends, and family members. RVAP also operates a lending library and
provides risk reduction and prevention/education programming related to

Provides support
and resources to individuals battered by their intimate partner or loved
ones. Provides the following confidential crisis intervention services: 24
hour safe shelter and hotline; advocacy with law enforcement, courts, medical
and social services; counseling and support groups; youth support services;
volunteer opportunities; and community education. Founded on the belief that
that everyone has the right to live free of fear and harm. Victims may also call 1-800-373-1043 for

to eligible applicants. Benefits are issued to eligible applicants within 30
days of application.
Bring: ID, and if possible verification of income, resources,
and residency. All programs require written application. If applying for
Medicaid, must prove citizenship.
