Minimum:
4 sections cut at 2 microns and an accompanying H&E side from
the tissue block with the most villi.
2 cc of infants venous blood collected in a green-top Vacutainer® with sodium heparin. Invert tube to mix well. Label the tube with patient name and medical record number. DO NOT FREEZE OR CENTRIFUGE.

Testing Schedule:
Specimens accepted in the lab Monday-Friday, 0800-1700.
Turn Around Time:
Preliminary results are given for STAT blood cases within 48 hours.
Suitable for interphase and metaphase analysis. Allow 2-5 days for
final results. Preliminary results are not provided for paraffin
embedded tumor tissue samples.
