Changes in Cytology Gyn Exam – Pap Order Coinciding with Medical Center Downtown (MCD) and Affiliated Clinics Transitioning to Epic, Saturday, May 4, 2024
The Cytology Gyn Exam Pap order in Epic (CYTOLOGY GYN EXAM - PAP TEST [LAB8240]) is being updated to simplify high-risk Human Papillomavirus (HPV) reflex options (No HPV, HPV if ASCUS, and HPV regardless of diagnosis) and merge workflows used by Medical Center Downtown (MCD) and affiliated clinics. The changes also include streamlining the order entry questions and result report. There will be no changes to Medical Center University HPV diagnostic methods. The following changes in laboratory testing will occur simultaneously with the transition to Epic for MCD and affiliated clinics to Epic on Saturday, May 4th. There are screenshot and explanations of the changes below.
