Rejection Criteria:

Any specimen other than serum or EDTA plasma. Hemolyzed specimens.

Delivery Instructions:

Wrap specimen in aluminum foil to protect from light. Deliver to laboratory immediately after collection.

0.22-4.88 nmol/L

Interpretive Data:

Vitamin K concentration is reported as nanomoles per liter (nmol/L). To convert concentration to nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL), multiply the result by 0.45.

Comments:

Overnight 12 hour fast preferred. Do not consume alcohol for one day prior to blood draw. Avoid hemolysis. Separate samples must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
