5 mL blood or bone marrow in a pink or purple top EDTA tube or formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue (1 x H&E stained slide plus 10 x unstained slides)

Comments:

DNA extracted from blood, bone marrow mononuclear cells or tissue is examined for rearrangement of immunoglobin heavy chain genes.

NOTE: For patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, if analysis for IGH gene somatic hypermutation (or IGH variable region mutation) is desired, please order LAB7503 or LAB7504.

Test Limitations:

Specimens fixed in B5 fixative are unsuitable for testing.
