Link: University of Iowa

Welcome

The Weiner Laboratory is a translational laboratory conducting research that focuses on the immunotherapy of B-cell malignancies and other cancers. The laboratory uses molecular and cellular techniques as well as model systems and also is extensively involved in analysis of samples from clinical trials. It serves as a translational hub for The University of Iowa/Mayo Clinic Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in lymphoma that is directed by Dr. Weiner.

The Laboratory works closely with Dr. Brian Link, Professor of Internal Medicine, who leads the clinical trials activities for the University of Iowa lymphoma program and the SPORE, Dr. Aliasger Salem, Professor in the College of Pharmacy, on the design and testing of novel nanoparticle formulations and Dr. Paloma Giangrande on developing RNA aptamers for cancer immunotherapy.
