  • Burn Epidemiology

Current Projects:

  • Primary investigator in a multiinstitutional FDA sponsored study evaluating the efficacy of erthropoietin in critically ill patients.
  • Surveilance of medically treated burn injuries in southern Iowa.
  • Primary investigator in a prospective study documenting the incidence of deep venous thrombosis in thermally injured patients.
  • Evaluation of the significance of Troponin elevations on cardiac morbidity and mortality in postoperative patients.
  • Gasoline related burn injuries
