Overview of Training for Individual Specialties
TRAUMA
General Surgery Residents rotate several times throughout their residency onto the trauma team. They receive training and experience in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Focused Abdominal Sonography for Trauma (FAST) scanning, operative and nonoperative management of patients with multiple injuries.
