From the Vice President for Medical Affairs

Dr. Jean Robillard

One of our top priorities at the UI Carver College of Medicine is to foster the development of physician-scientists who will become future leaders in academic medicine. Under the direction of Dr. Joel Kline and assistant directors Robert Roghair, MD, and David Stoltz, MD, PhD, the Physician Scientist Training Pathway (PSTP) enhances the training of young physician-scientists by integrating the exceptional residency and fellowship programs of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with postdoctoral training in basic, translational, or clinical research. I believe that the PSTP provides an ideal blueprint for the efficient and successful postgraduate training of physician-scientists.
