Trainees in the Iowa PSTP are invited to participate in several career enrichment programs directed toward the physician-scientist. Examples of PSTP enrichment activities include PSTP Journal Club, Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) Grand Rounds, a seminar series entitled, “Conversations in Research,” and a PSTP Symposium held during the annual MSTP Retreat. Through these activities, the PSTP trainee will become a member of the large community of physician-scientists at the University of Iowa.
