As Manager of the Point of Care Testing Program, Chris' primary duty is the regulatory oversight of all laboratory testing performed outside the physical confines of Department of Pathology laboratories. This includes a wide variety of laboratory testing performed by non-Pathology personnel in 21 special function labs which includes the 56 separate nursing units. Chris acts as primary Risk Management and Point of Care contact for surveyors and inspectors during accreditation and/or other regulatory inspections for the Special Function Laboratories and the Department of Pathology.
Additionally, Chris serves as the Department of Pathology's Risk Management Coordinator and Safety Officer, ensuring that the Department is in full compliance with all state and federal health and safety regulations.
