FACULTY POSITIONS

Clinical Pathology
The Department of Pathology of The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accepting applications for a faculty position as Director of Clinical Chemistry. Successful candidates will be graduates of accredited residency and/or fellowship programs, be board certified or eligible, and hold the credentials to obtain medical licensure in the State of Iowa. We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated the ability and/or potential to excel at scholarship and teaching, and those with excellent qualifications in the area of informatics. The candidate should have a M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Primary service responsibility will be at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Clinical Chemistry section – a highly automated and innovative laboratory performing over 2.5 million tests/yr.

Faculty appointments can be in the tenure or non-tenure tracks and at the academic rank commensurate with previous experience. Salary and benefits are competitive. Surgical Pathology/Cytopathology
The Department of Pathology of The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accepting applications for two faculty positions with responsibilities in both surgical pathology and cytopathology. Successful candidates will be graduates of accredited residency programs, be board certified or eligible, and hold the credentials to obtain medical licensure in the State of Iowa. Excellent general surgical pathology and cytopathology skills are required and those with fellowship level training in surgical pathology and/or cytopathology, subspecialty interest/training in pulmonary, gynecologic, or breast pathology, and who have demonstrated the ability and/or potential to excel at scholarship and teaching are particularly desirable.
